Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHR)
If you are responsible, running or taking part in a Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) featuring a male victim of domestic abuse, the charity’s team of experts and professionals can support you.
This charity’s team of qualified professionals have significant experience of being members of domestic homicide reviews involving male victims of domestic abuse. All have attended DHRs, and have been trained on either the panel member and/or chair courses. This can include cases of suicide.
The charity is currently sitting on five domestic abuse panels involving a male victim. It is also advising on another.
They can offer insights into the barriers those men faced alongside assessing the responses from statutory agencies (if relevant) and providing help in improving response and support for the future.
Please also refer to the charity’s unique domestic homicide review library and the seminal research paper lead by Dr Elizabeth Bates.
