Support for Employers
Our expert team of qualified professionals can provide a wide range of support for employers in helping them to support male victims of domestic abuse within their workforce. We are continually talking to employers and providing them with information – most recently this includes Balfour Beatty, Network Rail, Tesco and GMI Construction.
It is vital that employers are able to recognise, understand and respond to male victims of domestic abuse as they do for female victims. This is part of being an inclusive employer.
The charity is a member of the Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse (we recommend that employers join EIDA) and sat on its advisory panel which created the Employers’ Toolkit .
The charity can help employers be male victim-friendly through:
- Training (face to face, online or e-learning)
- Reviewing of internal or external policies, procedures and initiatives
- Giving presentations and speaking at events/webinars
- Reviewing and supporting communication campaigns and materials – this includes intranets and websites
